Noise Around Our Homes is a compilation of live performances by Formen from spring 2022.

The EP consists of six tracks that explore various methods of experimental sound design. Formen delves into the interplay between electroacoustic noise and organic compositions, combining expansive, electrically charged soundscapes with frequency-dependent changes in timbre. As a result, the tracks can be experienced both as static sound sculptures and as compositions in constant evolution.

For these performances, Formen worked exclusively with analog sound sources and modified effects units. The individual sound modules are interconnected in terms of both sound and function, with Formen operating the mixing console as the central hub of this interaction. As always, all tracks were performed, mixed, and recorded live by Formen without additional overdubbing.

The physical release is professionally dubbed onto Type-I cassette tapes (C-32), each hand-numbered by Empty Space. The covers are handcrafted screen prints by Formen, produced on high-quality, uncoated paper from Munken.

The release is accompanied by a limited-edition, multi-layered serigraphy, designed and printed by the artist himself. These prints are created on high-quality, uncoated DIN-A2+ (20"x28") paper by Fabriano. Each print is hand-numbered, and the edition is strictly limited to 11 pieces. Due to the screen-printing technique used, each poster is unique, with slight variations making no two prints identical. Every piece is truly one of a kind.
